Day 3 — John Muir Inspiration

On the river by 0830 am. Frost on the boats & grass.
Paddled up to Muir Memorial Park.
A short walk around Muir’s Fountain Lake (ennis lake)
This was where Muir experienced the beginning of
his life long fascination and fervor for all things
in nature. Thanks John!
We met fellow red shirt Charlie Luthin for lunch.
Charlie brought a light lunch and good conversation.
We talked about the Natural Heritage Land Trust &
their good work to protect Muir’s legacy in WI.
We are exploring “the glorious WI wilderness.”
Plenty of headwind today, eagles, a great horned
owl and lots of warblers.
A note to readers- thanks for your support and
patience as I am learning a new technology.

      Paddle on, Dudes! Keep warm.

Call of the wild is a nice very out of the way waterfront
campground and bar. The high RR bridge near it is impressive. The wind should switch to behind you for Saturday.

Looks like you are making good time, headwind and all. We had snow flurries up north today. Aagh. Cool notebook. Is it from frost river?
