….OF COURSE YOU ARE ALL INVITED!
The lock house, situated right along the historic canal system which was built to house hand-operated locks in the late 1800s, was the residence of the men and their families who worked this system. The lockmasters made sure that navigation happened day and night, keeping commerce moving. They were an important part of the prosperity which grew along this hard working waterway.
The Fox-Wisconsin Wisconsin Heritage Parkway has leased the lock house from the Fox River Navigational System Authority and over the last year and a half, with the help of many volunteers and donors, has restored this historic home. Restoration is complete, however we still are in need of some furnishings.
Maybe grandma’s table is looking for a new home.
Overnight stays and event rentals will be available starting May 13, 2016.
