You’re Invited: Project RED Workshop

Friends of the Fox & the Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Parkway invite you to attend a Project RED Workshop

Date: Saturday, October 1
Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Place: East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission Office, 400 Ahnaip St., Suite 100, Menasha, WI 54952, (920) 751-4770

The purpose of the event is to discuss aquatic invasive species within the Upper and Lower Fox Rivers and become involved with Project RED.

Project RED stands for “Riverine Early Detector” of invasive species. Our rivers and streams are as vulnerable as our lakes to Invasive Species. The key to successfully protecting our rivers is detecting invasives early when it is still possible to isolate and eradicate them.

Staff from the DNR and Winnebago Pool Lakes Aquatic Invasive Species Coordinators will be available to provide you with the necessary tools to be a Riverine Early Detector. Use this activity to become more familiar with your river or stream and to engage your friends and neighbors to do the same.

If you are interested in attending, please contact Todd Verboomen at 920-751-4770 or tverboomen@eastcentrpc.org by September 15th.
