We Asked…You Donated…Our Goal Has been Met…Asbestos Removal will begin in Little Chute Lock Tender House
Posted by shari on March 20th, 2014
As many of you are aware, we have been given the green light by the Wisconsin Historical Society to renovate the Lock House at the end of Mill St. in Little Chute. The house is one of three lock tender houses that are being restored as unique vacation rental properties.
With temperatures finally moderating to the point where we can begin the tear out, we have learned that there is some asbestos inside the building. We need to remediate that before we can do anything else, and so the project is stalled until we raise the $2,000 needed for safe removal. The Parkway is pleased to announce that our supporters have once again given the much needed money to remove the asbestos in the Little Chute lock tender house. To date $2480 has been raised! Thank you once again for all of your support!
If you would like to contribute to renovate the lock house itself, please consider donating any dollar amount to help meet our goal of renovating the Little Chute house. Your gift of $5, $10 or $20 is welcomed and so appreciated. Thank you for your support.
